A Decade of Dedication
Daniel Bell-Drummond is one of English cricket’s most gifted and graceful top-order batters. A proud product of the Kent Cricket Academy, he made his debut for the county as a teenager and has since become a cornerstone of the club’s batting lineup — combining classical strokeplay with calm authority at the crease.
With over a decade of service to Kent and contributions across formats, Daniel has earned a reputation not only for his consistency and leadership, but also for his style, humility, and deep love for the game. His impact extends beyond the field, as a role model and ambassador for diversity in cricket, and a passionate supporter of community and youth initiatives.
The DBD 2026 testimonial year celebrates Daniel’s outstanding career and the values he brings to the sport — professionalism, elegance, and an unwavering commitment to both cricket and community.
Sir Tim Laurence
I am delighted to support Daniel Bell-Drummond’s Testimonial Year, as I’ve followed his progress for many years and witnessed his development from a talented youngster into a top class cricketer.
We have met and spoken on several occasions and I’ve always been impressed by his calm, professional approach and of course admired his batting skills. His 300* in 2023 and 223 this year at Lord’s were landmark scores of the highest order which reflect a player at the top of his game.
While I wish him many more playing years, he has other strings to his bow. During his recent injury, I was listening to Daniel commentating on BBC radio where he made some very positive comments about Jos Butler, who was out shortly afterwards - thus showing that Daniel has already mastered that vital skill, the commentator’s curse!!
I’m particularly pleased to be passing on the role of KCCC President to Richard Ellison, as he was not only a fine player for Kent and England, but was also Daniel’s housemaster at school and played an instrumental role in developing his cricket – a lovely coincidence and a special year for both in 2026!
I wish Daniel every success for his Testimonial and look forward to supporting him at events during the season.
Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence
President Kent CCC 2025

Charities
As part of his 2026 testimonial year, DBD is proud to support three causes close to his heart: Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), Iggy's Fund and Platform Cricket. All of these charities reflect his passion for youth development and making a lasting impact beyond the boundary.
Cardiac Risk in the Young
Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is a UK charity dedicated to preventing young sudden cardiac death (YSCD)—tragic and often unexpected events affecting people aged 14–35. Across the UK, at least 12 apparently healthy young individuals lose their lives each week due to undiagnosed heart conditions, and 80% of these were without prior symptoms. CRY works to change that by combining awareness‑raising, proactive screening, medical research, and bereavement support.
Iggy's Fund
The charity aims to promote community participation in healthy recreation, help provide valued funding by way of grants to the most financially challenged young people so they too can enjoy the life changing benefits of sport, protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of brain tumours and working with other specialist charities, assist with advancing education and or research in the field of brain tumours.
Platform Cricket
Platform Cricket is a London-based registered charity that harnesses the power of cricket to support young people from disadvantaged and ethnic minority backgrounds across inner-city London.
Platform Cricket is more than just a sport provider—it’s a lifeline for young Londoners, opening doors to physical activity, social confidence, and structured support in communities where opportunity is limited.
